Last time we spoke with Laetitia Duveau, founder of the highly influential platform Curated by GIRLS, she had just moved to Sintra, Portugal, after years of building a powerful creative movement in Berlin. Her latest project? A spring tour across Germany with three incredible female-fronted acts blending trip-hop, pop, and electro, including her own band FreeFreeDomDom, founded in 2017.

You’ve gone from Berlin’s buzzing art scene to the dreamy landscapes of Sintra, which was also the time of our last exchange here on Coeur & Art —how has that shift influenced the way you curate, but also how you approach this tour?
Moving from Berlin to Sintra felt like shifting from high-speed intensity to a more organic, intuitive flow. It was a real cataclysm in terms of changing habits—I found myself drawn back to the essence of movement, both physically and creatively. I reconnected with dance, something that has always been part of my artistic DNA, and I started making music again, and a LOT!
Being in nature, away from the hyper-digital noise, made me crave more real-life experiences and human connection.
I realized how much I enjoyed curating physical events—there’s something so powerful about people coming together in a shared space, feeding off each other’s energy. But it’s also intense work; it demands a lot (oh my).

These past months, I found myself less excited about social media curation. Maybe I just got a bit tired of it? After eight years of Curated by Girls, I was definitely seeking a different routine.
That’s why stepping into the world of live music felt so natural. I wanted to experience something immersive and visceral, where people could feel, react, and connect in real-time. When the opportunity to work on this tour came up, I knew I had to jump in. It’s a different kind of curation, but at its core, it’s still about bringing people together through art.
For the tour, we’ll be traveling in a van across 12 cities in Germany, and I’m so excited to connect with people in different places, experience new energy, and share these moments together. It’s going to be such a special experience! And It’s been a few years since I’ve been back in Berlin, so it feels even more special to return. I’m thrilled for the show at Schokoladen, and I can’t wait to see so many familiar faces—and of course, meet new ones!

Curated by Girls has always been about community and collaboration. How did that play into bringing together this lineup of amazing female-fronted acts, and what kind of energy can we expect at the shows?
Yes! Curated by Girls has always been about amplifying underrepresented voices and creating a sense of belonging, and this tour is a natural extension of that ethos. Music has this raw, universal power to bring people together, and honestly, the whole thing came together very organically. The tour itself has been a true collaboration from the start—the girls from Aisatsana and The Bousculaires actually initiated this collaboration, and they’ve played a huge role in shaping it, so it’s really a co-creation from everyone involved.
Since this is my first time working on a tour, I wanted to work with artists I trust—people who are not only incredibly talented but also experienced in this field. Aisatsana and The Bousculaires are more than just great musicians—they have stories, emotions, and messages that truly need to be heard.
And, well… the third act is me and my partner, aka freefreedomdom. All of us, we’ve got a close bond, so spending 12 days in a van together will be, intense, but also full of creative energy, and FUN!

Expect high-energy performances, as well as deeply raw, intimate moments, and an unshakable sense of sisterhood. This isn’t just about putting on a show—it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, celebrated, and inspired.
Because, let’s be real—being an independent artist today is damn hard. You’re not just a musician; you have to be your own promoter, manager, and yes, even an influencer. It’s exhausting, and making a living from it often feels like a fantasy (merci, Spotify and big majors). That’s why I’ve always been passionate about giving a platform to unheard talents. There should be more support for indie artists. They need it.

Without giving too much away… any surprises we should be excited for?
Oh, absolutely—there will be surprises! We’re putting together a ton of goodie bags for our lucky audience members, featuring limited-edition pieces from rockaroundmyneck bijoux and treats from Womanizer—their support means so much.
And of course, I’ll be including some iconic Curated by Girls merch! I’m seriously so excited about these goodie bags; we have plenty to give-away across our tour, and I can’t wait to see people’s reactions.
But beyond that… let’s just say, you’ll definitely want to be there to experience it all firsthand. Some things are best kept a mystery until the moment arrives! 😉
Be sure to check the tour dates so you don’t miss a chance to join the party near you!
